The Derby Double!

Derby 2012 081 Hamilton Lodge has an incredible record of success at the annual Derby Football Competition, though this year was something extra special with us winning both the Senior and the Junior titles! Trying out Plumpton College

Picture1 A group of year 12 students are on a 6 week taster course at Plumpton College. Recently they used the climbing wall which was great fun. During the six weeks they will be learning about the skills needed for horticulture, milking, equine and small farm animals. Hamilton Lodge College students can choose a college course at City College Brighton or Plumpton College, with additional support and curriculum provided at Hamilton Lodge.      … More »

Twitter page Less than a year ago we launched a new website, a Twitter account, a YouTube channel and our own official Facebook page. We have been delighted by the reception we have had to our increased presence in the ‘virtual’ world. School Council elected

george A new School Council is in place. Students elected from across the different school years will be representing students views on issues in their regular meeting with the Head Teacher, Graham Sheppard. The issues raised this week included; primary playground, parking, rugby and Friday lunches. The new Chairperson is George           The Vice Chairperson is Chloe           The Secretary is Rian  

Ethiopia ‘feature’

BATOD January cover BATOD (British Assoc. of Teachers of the Deaf) have carried a feature article this month on Hamilton Lodge Care Staff Officer, Nicholas Ansell, trip to Ethiopia. The article also gives some background on our long-time relationship with two Ethiopian Deaf Schools.
