Hamilton Lodge School's main source of income is received from Local Authorities who place pupils with us. These fees cover the costs of education and board, if the pupil is residential. Any additional projects are funded through donations from companies, trusts, groups and individuals.

Leaving a legacy is one way to contribute to the on-going work of Hamilton Lodge School. We depend on the generosity of people who have remembered our work in their wills, enabling us to help more deaf children in education.Your support will be greatly appreciated.

Our current fundraising project - Laser Cutter

We are currently in the process of raising funds for a laser cutter which will enable our DT department to achieve the CAD/CAM requirement. This is now an integral part of both KS3 and KS4 Curriculum. CAD/CAM is computer aided design and computer aided manufacture. Laser cutters will cut a wide range of plastics very accurately leaving a smooth finish. They will also cut wood, MDF, paper, card, cloth etc. They will engrave or mark all these materials and others such as glass, slate, ceramics etc. Great results can be achieved making exciting and engaging lessons.

The purchasing of a laser cutter will ensure that all our pupils have an equal chance of achievement in a subject that they can have the capability to do well in. Giving pupils the opportunities to produce desirable and well made quality products in line with mainstream schools is a must.

We need to raise around £15,000 to purchase a laser cutter. If you would like to make a donation please contact:
