The ESRC Deafness Cognition and Language Research Centre has undertaken research around acquiring language, impairments to language, learning sign language, lipreading and reading.
We take the results of such research very seriously and we are always looking to see whether there are ways in which we should adjust our methods. We are pleased that this research re-inforces the approach we already take which gives our students the best possible start in life.
