Due to the retirement of our current Principal, David Couch at the end of this academic year we have appointed a new Principal to start in September 2018.
Our new Principal, Billy McInally, was born and raised in Glasgow in Scotland. He started out as engineer and whilst out working in West Africa he was inspired to retrain as teacher.
He has many years of experience in both mainstream and specialist education. He has led two specialist schools and a specialist college to good and outstanding outcomes for pupils.
Billy McInally lives with his family in Brighton and said:
“I am really looking to leading this fantastic specialist school and college. I will work with the committed staff team to continue to deliver the best education and care for deaf pupils.”
Our Chair of Governors and Trustees, Martin Redshaw said:
“We thank our outgoing Principal, David Couch for his work to develop the primary and new specialist provision and for his energy and achievements. We wanted to recruit someone with the same passion and determination for our pupils and students. Billy McInally has the skills and experience to take us forward for the future. We are looking forward to working with him to deliver excellent education and care for deaf children.”
